FAQ's

If you have any questions that are not listed below, please email us at info@premedpeers.org!

How much does the prep course cost?

Currently our prep course is free for 2024!

How long does the prep course last?

1 month!

Will there be another prep course after this?

Yes! We will hold 2 courses annually. Our next course will start in Jan 2024

Should I create an account on the website?

Yes. There is a forum feature in which we will announce any updates and where students can ask any questions they would like. We will also upload the  recordings on our website.

How long do the sessions last?

Approximately 1 hour, depending on the quantity and complexity of the questions. Expect to stay in the meeting for about 15-20 minutes extra. If you cannot stay for the entire session or if you cannot make the live session, you can access the recordings on our website.

Where will the sessions be held?

Online via Google Classrooms - the same link will be used for all sessions.

When will the sessions be held?

You can access the schedule and Google Classrooms link on the Resources page after payment is received and you have created an account. The sessions will be held on weekday evenings and weekends.

What do the sessions look like?

Our tutors will do a warmup, review homework assigned from previous sessions, provide a lesson highlighting key information regarding the topic, followed by a question and answer session to wrap up the lesson.

Should I use the MCAT101 prep course as my only form of studying?

No. Our course is led by volunteers and our goal is provide a community and additional support to help you succeed on the MCAT. We highly recommend that you have your own study plan and resources prepared and only utilize our prep course as a supplement. Because we are volunteers, we do not guarantee a score increase.

Do I have to do the readings and homework assignments before every session?

In short, no. We provide these "assigned" readings and assignments to guide you through our prep course. During the session, we will review the highlights of the chapter and the main takeaways, so we highly recommend that you complete the readings/homework to understand what is being talked about in class and prepare any questions.

Is participation mandatory?

Participation is not mandatory, but we would love it if you volunteered to answer questions and voice any concerns you may have! We would love to make the sessions as engaging as possible, but please feel free to sit back and listen in if you prefer. We want to create a judgement-free zone where everyone can make mistakes and learn from them.

Where can I find the homework and schedule?

On our Google Classroom. The classroom Code will be emailed to you a few days prior to the beginning of the course.
